The Sleep Ultimatum: How the Dual Topper Was Born
"It's me or the mattress," my wife, Ellen, said, half-joking, but mostly serious.
We had just gotten married, bought our first home, and were figuring out life together.
But while I slept soundly on our firm, supportive mattress, Ellen tossed and turned, waking up sore and frustrated. Replacing the mattress was not in the budget, and we searched everywhere for a simple fix: something that let her sleep soft while I kept the firm support I loved, without spending a fortune. But nothing existed.
That is when we had the idea for the Dual Topper: a customizable, dual-sided mattress topper that gives each partner their own firmness without replacing a supportive mattress.
It became a simple plan: choose the right feel for each side, build one shared topper, and sleep better together.
