Pay attention to your own side
Start with what you feel in your usual position.
When you lie on your side, the feel around your shoulder and hip may matter most. On your back, you may prefer a steadier surface and less sinking. People who change position often may value a more responsive material.
These are useful observations, not a prescription. Your body size, preferences, and the mattress underneath also shape the final feel. Choose what is comfortable for you, rather than what your partner assumes should be comfortable.
The Dual Topper lets each person choose independently, with both inserts held beneath one shared comfort layer.
Five useful starting points
Compare the feel of the inserts.
- Soft: more cushioning and give at the surface.
- Medium: balanced cushioning with a responsive feel.
- Firm: a more stable feel with less sink.
- Memory Foam: slower response and closer contouring around you.
- Latex: buoyant, quicker response as you reposition.
A side sleeper who wants more cushioning might begin by comparing Soft and Memory Foam. A back sleeper who dislikes sink might compare Medium and Firm. A sleeper who moves often may want to consider Latex. These are starting points; your own comfort remains the deciding factor.
Our firmness quiz helps organize that choice.
A shared bed with individual attention
Keep the surface shared.
Two 2-inch inserts sit side by side in separate pockets, beneath a continuous 1-inch comfort layer. The fitted-sheet style case brings the system together on your existing mattress.
You can choose a softer conventional foam on one side and a responsive Latex insert on the other. You can also choose the same material in both pockets. The system provides options without requiring either sleeper to move to a separate mattress.
It is available for Queen and King beds. The queen guide explains sizing and sheet depth, while the soft-side, firm-side guide explains the transition across the middle.
Adjust thoughtfully
Give each choice a fair chance.
Check your setup, follow the product instructions, and allow time to get used to the new feel. Most sleepers should try the original insert for at least 14 nights before requesting a comfort adjustment, except where the policy allows an earlier request for a significant concern.
During the 90-night comfort-adjustment period, each sleeper may request one approved first insert change without the normal $40 replacement fee. Read the complete conditions before ordering.

The details that matter
Your questions, answered.
Which topper is best for a side sleeper and a back sleeper?
There is no one combination that suits every couple. A dual firmness topper lets each person choose a feel independently, based on their preference, body size, and existing mattress.
Do side sleepers always need Soft?
No. Some prefer a closer contour from Memory Foam, a responsive material, or a firmer feel. Sleeping position is only one part of the choice.
What if one of us changes sleeping position?
You can keep your insert if it remains comfortable. If you want a different feel, the separate pockets allow that side to be changed without replacing the whole topper.
Comfort for both of you
Your next bed upgrade can be simpler.
